Why these tools exist
Most free calculators online are built by a software company to get you into their sales funnel. You answer a couple of questions, and the "result" is really just a doorway to a demo request or a signup form. We built this site differently. Every tool here is a complete, working calculator on its own page, researched against what else already exists so it's genuinely useful rather than a copy of the first result on Google.
That means real formulas explained in plain language, a worked example you can check against your own math, and honest answers about what a tool can't tell you. Where the real world has more nuance than a single formula can capture, like tax rules that vary by location, we say so directly instead of pretending a single number covers every situation.
How to use these calculators
Each tool defaults to sensible starting numbers so you can see how it works right away, then you replace them with your own. Most have a Simple mode for a quick answer and an Advanced mode that opens up more detailed, editable assumptions, so you can go as deep as the decision actually needs. None of them require an account, and none of them save or send your numbers anywhere, everything runs right in your browser.
